Melton And Dudding Cemetery In Nitro, Kanawha County, West Virginia

These Duddings are likely to be related to Elizabeth Dudding, the mother of Adelia Margaret Wood(s). The cemetery was cataloged on January 16, 2001 by Steven E. Witt:

“When I located this cemetery I found the tombstones broken into pieces and scattered around. It appears that a grave has been exhumed and the only thing left was the bottom half of the tombstone. The cemetery is over grown and in need of cleaning up, and the tombstones put back where they belong. I placed a few back by matching up the broken pieces to the footers.”

This cemetery is located at the end of 4th Street in Nitro, West Virginia. According to Witt, a driveway at the end of the street leads to a turn around area behind several houses. The cemetery is located about 100 feet from the parking area.
